UNICORN began it’s operations in 1984 in Westchester County, New York. From day one, the cornerstone of our business philosophy has been to provide the highest quality building and service to our customers.
We encompass three facets of construction and serve as Property Managers for our properties:
- Residential Custom Home Development & Construction
- Commercial & Healthcare Development & Construction
- Mixed-Use Development
Early on Unicorn was primarily a residential luxury custom home developer, building over 300 homes in the Westchester and Putnam County areas.
In the 1990’s Unicorn moved into commercial development, completing projects in New York and Florida.
By 2010, Healthcare, Medical Office Building and Commercial development were approximately 70% of Unicorn’s workload. We completed medical office buildings in Cortlandt, Yorktown, White Plains and Cold Spring, NY and New Fairfield, CT.
We continue with our residential custom home development blended with our commercial and medical office building construction. In 2011 Unicorn made a business decision to include mixed-use development projects to its portfolio, both in NY and CT.
During the period of 2020, Unicorn has turned their concentrated focus onto mixed-use projects, added two new projects in 2021 and completing one in Brookfield, CT in 2022.
